About Me
I'm a descendant of steelworkers, salesmen, clerks, and cable operators.
I grew up in a community of gear nuts, good neighbors, and 'Friday Night Pizza Night".
I'm part of a family of home builders, number nitpicks, loving listeners, and relentless finder-outers.
I may be the first of my family to be called an artist, but it's no surprise that my tools are technology and my process is playful.
“My tools are technology and my process is playful.”
I have a deep admiration for human-centered experiences, systems-oriented thinking, and sincerely curious intentions.
I believe in meaningful work, collaborating with curiosity, and making memorable mistakes.

As a Game Designer
I uncover the ineffable, novel, and playful bones of an experience and translate them into a game. I enjoy creating experiences that prompt players imaginations and invite them to follow their curiosity. I do my best to design game loops which are free of coercion or fearful compulsions to define preferred behavior.
I believe the ability to play keeps our minds open, and our imagination free.
I believe the skill of guiding one’s own play (in a kindly way) is at the root of learning.

As a Communicator
I believe how something is talked about, represented, or shared is just as important as how and why it was created.

As a person,
I am playful in an effortless way. I believe the best way to nurture one’s imagination is through enjoyment of life, and in turn, we can trust that very same imagination to empower our creative expression.
I believe Creativity is a universal human capacity we all have, butt is personally defined in a distinct way.
It is priceless.
